How It Works
Step 1: Download Your Instagram Data
To get started, you need to download your Instagram data. Follow these steps:
- Open the Instagram app on your mobile device or visit the Instagram website on your computer.
- Log in to your Instagram account if you're not already logged in.
- Go to your profile by clicking on your profile picture or your username.
- Tap the three horizontal lines (menu) in the top right corner or click on your profile picture.
- Select 'Your activity' option from the menu
- Scroll down to the bottom, and click on 'Download Your Information'.
- Click on 'Select types of information' option
- Search/Select 'Followers and Following' from information type and click next
- If 'Followers' and 'Following' data is not visible, please be patient, as Instagram may be working on updating this information. Check back in a few days for the latest details.
- If 'Followers' and 'Following' is there so after submitting, on next screen, set the date range to 'All time' and submit request
- Instagram will email you a link once the data is ready for download.
- Check your email for a message from Instagram with the subject 'Your Instagram Data'.
- Click the 'Download Data' button within the email to access your data.
Step 2: Download Followers and Following Data
Next, you need to download your Followers and Following data files. Here's how:
- Once you've downloaded your Instagram data, you'll receive a ZIP file containing various data files.
- Extract the ZIP file to access its contents. You can do this by right-clicking the ZIP file and selecting 'Extract' or by using a file extraction tool.
- Look for the 'followers.html' and 'following.html' files within the extracted folder.
- Copy or move these files to your preferred location for easy access.
Step 3: Use InstaGuru to Analyze Your Data
Now, you can use InstaGuru to analyze your data and find out who's not following you back on Instagram:
- Visit the InstaGuru website.
- Navigate to the 'Non Followers' page.
- Upload the 'followers.html' file you downloaded from your Instagram data. This file contains your followers' information.
- Upload the 'following.html' file, which contains the list of accounts you follow.
- InstaGuru will analyze your data and generate a list of non-followers for you.
Step 4: Unfollow Non-Followers on Instagram
To unfollow non-followers, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Instagram account.
- Open your profile by tapping your profile picture or username.
- Tap 'Following' to view the list of accounts you follow.
- Scroll through the list to identify and locate the non-followers.
- For each non-follower, tap 'Following' to unfollow them.
- Repeat this process for all non-followers on your list.
Step 5: Update Your Non-Followers List
If you've already unfollowed non-followers and want to update your list, follow these steps:
- Open InstaGuru and visit the 'Non Followers' page again.
- Upload the most recent 'following.html' file (the list of accounts you follow) from your Instagram data.
- InstaGuru will analyze the updated data and provide you with the latest list of non-followers.
Step 6: Manage Pending Follow Requests (Optional)
If you have pending follow requests on Instagram, you can manage them using InstaGuru:
- Download your Instagram data if you haven't already (see Step 1).
- Extract the ZIP file to access your data (see Step 2).
- Look for the 'pending_follow_requests.html' file within the extracted folder.
- Upload this file on the 'Pending Requests' page of InstaGuru to analyze and manage your pending follow requests.
